How Logicx Automated Driver Document Processing with AI

Logicx is one of the largest mobility service providers in the Netherlands. The company delivers replacement transport, vehicle recovery, vehicle transportation, and mobility services to insurers, leasing companies, vehicle manufacturers, roadside assistance providers, and business customers.

Operating 24/7, Logicx handles large volumes of operational and administrative information every day. As the organisation continued to grow, the manual processing of driver documentation became increasingly time-consuming and difficult to scale.

To improve efficiency and reduce administrative workload, Logicx partnered with CAPE to develop an AI-powered document processing solution that automates the classification, extraction, and validation of essential business documents.

The challenge: a highly manual document processing workflow

At the end of each journey, Logicx drivers submit a driver file containing multiple document types, including invoices, payment records, transport documents, receipts, and proof of expenses.

Before these documents could be processed further, employees had to manually sort, scan, review, classify, and enter information into various systems.

The process was labour intensive and became increasingly difficult to manage as document volumes fluctuated throughout the year.

During peak periods, such as the summer months, document volumes increased significantly while staffing levels often decreased due to holiday leave.

Because document processing is a required step before invoicing can take place, administrative bottlenecks directly affected downstream financial processes.

The combination of handwritten notes, different document formats, and complex relationships between documents made traditional automation approaches difficult to implement.

Understanding the opportunity for automation

Before developing a solution, CAPE and Logicx first analysed the complete document processing workflow.

By mapping the existing process, identifying bottlenecks, and understanding operational requirements, the teams were able to determine where the greatest efficiency gains could be achieved.

The analysis revealed that sorting, classifying, and processing driver documentation represented one of the largest opportunities for automation.

The solution: an AI-driven document processing platform

Together, Logicx and CAPE developed an intelligent document processing solution powered by artificial intelligence.

Instead of manually sorting documents before scanning, employees can now scan complete driver files in a single batch.

The documents are automatically processed, classified, organised, and enriched using AI before being presented to employees for review through a dedicated Command Center application.

The result is a scalable workflow that dramatically reduces manual handling while maintaining human oversight where required.

CLAIR AI Document Processor

The solution is powered by CAPE’s CLAIR AI Agent Platform.

CLAIR functions as an ecosystem of AI agents that collaborate with existing business systems, company data, and employees.

For Logicx, a specialised document processing agent was created to automate the handling of scanned driver files.

Document classification

The AI agent automatically identifies document types and determines whether a document is an invoice, transport form, receipt, cover sheet, or another business document.

Intelligent sorting

Once classified, documents are automatically organised into the correct sequence without human intervention.

Data extraction

Relevant information is extracted from each document and converted into structured data suitable for further processing.

Relationship detection

The system understands connections between documents and links related information together before returning the enriched dataset to the application environment.

The Command Center

Alongside the AI-powered document processor, CAPE developed a dedicated Command Center application.

This user-friendly environment provides employees with a central overview of all driver files and document processing activities.

Staff can review results, verify information, archive documents, and complete any required manual adjustments through a single workspace.

Although AI performs most processing activities automatically, employees remain fully in control of the final validation process.

Delivering operational improvements

The introduction of AI-powered document processing has transformed a traditionally manual administrative workflow into a scalable digital process.

Reduced manual administration

Employees no longer need to pre-sort documents or process each file individually, significantly reducing administrative effort.

Faster document handling

Driver files are processed more quickly, allowing information to become available sooner for follow-up activities.

Greater scalability during peak periods

The organisation can handle increases in document volumes more effectively without proportionally increasing administrative workloads.

Accelerated invoicing processes

Because documents are available faster, downstream financial and invoicing processes can begin sooner.

Improved operational efficiency

Employees spend less time on repetitive administrative activities and can focus on tasks that require human expertise and judgement.

Building a foundation for future automation

The implementation of the document processing solution represents the first step in Logicx’s broader digital transformation journey.

The platform is already used daily and continues to evolve based on employee feedback, operational insights, and emerging business requirements.

Future enhancements may include data enrichment capabilities, AI-generated recommendations, and further automation of administrative activities.

By introducing new capabilities incrementally, Logicx and CAPE continue to build a future-proof processing environment that becomes smarter and more scalable over time.

Enabling smarter mobility operations with AI

For Logicx, the project was not simply about digitising documents.

It was about eliminating administrative bottlenecks, improving scalability, and creating a more efficient process that supports business growth.

By combining artificial intelligence with practical operational workflows, Logicx has transformed a manual back-office process into a modern digital capability that delivers value every day.
