Aaren Sun

Can you give us a short introduction of yourself?

Hi, my name is Aaren, and I’ve recently joined CAPE in Australia as a consultant. My background is in business and finance, and over the past few years I’ve focused on improving systems, platforms, and IT business processes through an interdisciplinary approach that drives efficiency, reduces costs, and supports top‑line growth. I’m excited to bring meaningful value to CAPE’s current and future clients, and I look forward to striving together for shared excellence and continuous learning that will help shape a better and brighter future.

What is your biggest strength, and how will it benefit CAPE and our customers?

My biggest strength is my ability to move comfortably between the big picture and the finer details. I naturally look at organisational processes holistically, while also paying attention to how small components connect and influence outcomes. This helps me stay open to nuances that aren’t always visible at first.

For CAPE and our clients, this means I can ask clarifying questions, identify potential gaps, and offer perspectives that support clearer thinking and more robust solutions.

Why CAPE?

I chose CAPE because it is an organisation that values openness, honesty, and practical, proactive thinking. For someone looking to learn and grow, CAPE offers a supportive and collaborative environment where people are encouraged to use their strengths and challenge themselves.

The team is committed to working transparently, asking the right questions, and delivering sustainable solutions rather than quick fixes. It’s an organisation built on trust and shared outcomes, and I’m grateful and excited to have the opportunity to contribute to that experience for our clients.

What is your biggest accomplishment in past projects?

My biggest accomplishment was developing and launching an automation-assisted performance review system built entirely within the Microsoft suite, which was adopted by over 450 employees across APAC and Europe. What had previously been a fully paper-based process became a streamlined, digital workflow that not only saved significant time and reduced environmental waste but also enabled complete data capture for deeper analysis and more informed decision-making.

The initiative was recognised across the organisation for its impact and for the proactive approach I took in identifying the opportunity. It demonstrated my ability to spot process gaps, design practical solutions, and bring together the right tools to deliver meaningful efficiency improvements at scale.

A fun fact about yourself

A fun fact about me is that I’m the kind of person who relaxes by diving into psychology and philosophy, and I often find myself exploring deeper questions around meaning, purpose, and human behaviour. Two thinkers who inspire me are Friedrich Nietzsche and Marcus Aurelius—their perspectives challenge me to reflect, stay curious, and see the world through different lenses.

“The essence of all beautiful art, all great art, is gratitude.”

-Friedrich Nietzsche
