About Youri
Youri is a Mendix consultant based at CAPE Netherlands HQ, with five years of experience implementing low-code solutions for various clients. When an Australian client required additional expertise, Youri volunteered to help kick-start the project, flying over for two months. His knowledge and skills proved invaluable for our Australian team and the client, who gained direct access to another experienced Mendix expert.
What’s something you learned from this project?
“I gained fresh insight into how Mendix can be leveraged in dynamic, fast-paced environments, especially in a business culture different from the Netherlands. I learned how to adapt quickly to unique client needs and build trust in a new setting. This experience also strengthened my approach to user-centric design, which I’ll definitely carry forward in future projects.”
Where do you feel you made the biggest impact?
“Definitely with my Mendix expertise. Once you master Mendix, you realise its principles apply across industries and cultures. It was great to show a new client how quickly and flexibly applications can be built with Mendix. Seeing their reaction to the speed and adaptability of low-code was a rewarding experience.”
What will you remember most about your time at CAPE?
“Without a doubt, the team. From day one, I was welcomed with open arms and felt like a valued part of the group. The collaborative spirit was inspiring—everyone brought so much energy and creativity to the project. It wasn’t just about solving problems but about pushing boundaries together. And, of course, I’ll always remember the coffee chats and after-work banter—those moments make work truly enjoyable.”
